G8 debt deal: what the countries will really get

The G8 “Debt Deal”, agreed by G8 Finance Ministers on 11th June 2005 and restated at the G8 summit in Gleneagles, has received a great deal of media, NGO and public attention.
However while some elements of the “deal” are now close to being finalised, several fundamental issues are still awaiting confirmation and approval by all parties, so that a number of important questions remain unanswered.
