Despite a seeming increase total official development assistance, Eurodad's Nerea Craviotto warns that today's figures are nothing to celebrate. The current levels of ODA do not meet the challenges the world is facing, and are a long way off meeting the 0.7% of GNI target.

Nerea is Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer at the European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad) and leads Eurodad’s advocacy and coordinates CSO's work towards the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), with a focus on improving the effectiveness of aid and change the way publicly-backed private finance is used in development cooperation. Prior to working with Eurodad, Nerea has worked on policy and advocacy work on development policies with the trade unions and feminist organisations and has done few years of programmatic work at country level in Palestine. Nerea holds a master degree in Development Policies from the Deusto University and a degree in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. A native Spanish / Catalan speaker, Nerea is also fluent in English and French and has a pretty good level of Italian.
