Eurodad is looking for an EU Advocacy and Networking Officer to support and strengthen Eurodad’s advocacy work on debt justice and development finance, with a focus on EU institutions.

The EU Advocacy and Networking Officer will focus particularly on advocacy in EU institutions and support our member’s advocacy efforts at national level in European countries.

The EU Advocacy and Networking Officer will help to ensure that Eurodad builds strong and effective coalitions for change, and help to empower civil society organisations in Europe and beyond, to conduct effective advocacy towards the EU, European national governments and, to a lesser extent, other international institutions. The role involves network strengthening and outreach, coordination, information sharing, and supporting capacity development and engagement in Eurodad’s advocacy strategies and actions on debt justice and development finance.

 

The ideal candidate


The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of European institutions and experience in advocacy at European and international level. The candidate should balance excellent organisation and coordination skills with strong interpersonal communication in a multicultural context, and the ability to plan, organise and implement on their own initiative. They will be excited to work at the cutting edge of development finance policy campaigns for transformative change, and have experience of working with advocacy-focussed civil society groups or similar organisations.

  • Key contacts: Eurodad colleagues, Eurodad members and other civil society organisations in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, academics and think tanks, officials in organisations such as the European Commission and Parliament, United Nations, World Bank and IMF.
  • Contract & location: Brussels-based, permanent contract. Gross annual salary range between €52,8k – €56,7k (incl. vouchers, holiday pay and end of year bonus), depending on skills and experience.
