The Jubilee 2000 debt campaign was one of the most successful campaigns in civil society mobilisation history. This year, with both the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development and the Catholic Jubilee taking place, 2025 is proving to be another key year for debt justice. In this blog we highlight a few of the mobilisations that are already planned to inspire you to take action.
Polina Girshova
Polina joined Eurodad as a Debt Justice Intern in March 2023. In January 2024, she was promoted to Policy and Advocacy Assistant and, in January 2026, her role changed to Policy and Advocacy Officer. She is originally from Moscow, and holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a MSs in Conflict and Development studies from Ghent University. She has been involved in various volunteering projects to help refugees and has done research on decolonisation within the NGO community. Previously, she worked as a Policy Intern at Oxfam International supporting policy and advocacy efforts. She is a native Russian speaker, and in addition to English, she speaks French, Spanish and Italian.
