The COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed and exacerbated the existing inequalities and injustices related to privatisation and commercialisation trends of essential services (education, health, water and sanitation…) and has revealed the equalising and redistributive power of public services. This is a crucial moment to build public services as part of a just recovery and transition to a more sustainable and resilient economy and society. This session will present the Global Manifesto on Public Services as a tool to respond to this challenge.
