Eurodad is looking for a Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer to efficiently and effectively work with our Development Finance Team.

The ideal candidate 

The purpose of this role is to lead Eurodad’s exciting work at the cutting edge of research and advocacy on donor commitments on Official Development Assistance (ODA), to build spaces for dialogue and strong North-South coalitions for change to promote the political relevance of the ODA agenda. The role involves strategy development, research, monitoring and analysing policy developments, information sharing, advocacy and networking. The successful candidate would work closely with Eurodad’s Development Finance team with a focus on strengthening donors’ commitments and efforts to increase public finance for development and climate action, with a particular focus on the European Union (EU). The successful candidate will conceptualise and implement advocacy strategies and CSO campaigns based on robust own- and peer-research and policy analysis. They will require policy analysis skills with strong interpersonal communication and be self-motivated with the ability to plan, organise and implement activities under their own initiative. They will have experience working with advocacy focussed civil society groups or similar organisations and have a good working knowledge of the EU and its institutions, the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD-DAC), the United Nations, and other relevant international institutions.

  • Contract & location: Brussels-based* with some flexibility allowing for remote working, permanent and full-time contract. [* Other locations could be considered on a case by case basis.]
