Eurodad is looking for an Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer to support and strengthen its work on tax justice, with a focus on progressive green taxation.

The Ideal Candidate

In the coming years, Eurodad will be scaling up its work to influence climate and tax policies at the EU level in the direction of win-win solutions designed to tackle both the environmental and inequality crises. The purpose of the role as Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer on Progressive Green Taxation is to spearhead this work. The role centres around policy development and strategic, evidence-based EU advocacy. All of the work will be carried out in close cooperation with our broad international network of partners and allies, and network coordination is a key part of the role. The work on progressive green taxation fits within the broader frame of Eurodad’s work to promote economic justice and fight inequalities.

The successful candidate will balance excellent advocacy-focussed research and policy analysis skills with strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to plan, organise and implement on their own initiative. They will be excited to work at the cutting edge of development finance policy debates and campaigns, and have experience of working with advocacy and campaign-focussed civil society groups or similar organisations. They will need to speak and write English to a very high standard.

  • Key contacts: Eurodad members, allies and partners (civil society organisations and trade unions); Eurodad staff; Officials and policy makers in the European Commission, European Parliament and EU Member States; Academics and think tanks.
  • Contract & location: Brussels-based with some flexibility allowing for remote working, permanent and full-time contract. Gross annual salary range between € 55,129- € 64,519 (incl. vouchers, holiday pay and end of year bonus), depending on skills and experience.
