Freedom to Move
This report from Eurodad member ActionAid looks at womens' experience of urban public transport in Bangladesh, Brazil and Nigeria. It finds that the specific needs of women and girls are not cared for and they are vulnerable to violence and less able to fully access their rights.
The report looks at how lost tax revenues can pay to improve these systems. Governments must ensure that the additional revenue from closing tax loopholes and ending corporate tax dodging prioritises women’s unique needs and goes towards the provision of quality public services that uphold and protect women’s rights.
