The session
In the third year of the Covid-19 pandemic, the world is steeped in multiple and interconnected crises. Amidst climate chaos, sovereign debt has reached historic levels and violence- particularly gender-based, has increased. At best, the international community’s response has been temporary or insufficient. At worst, it will aggravate the problem. The current crises offer opportunities to draw attention to our issues. At the same time, it requires collaboration across sectors and careful strategizing, planning and implementation to achieve a world in which wealth and power is equitably distributed, which is fairly, democratically, accountably and transparently governed from the local to the global level.
The key note will provide new and a different perspective to our current analysis and provide inspiring yet provocative ideas and inspiration for CSO strategies.
The key note speech will be followed by a short plenary Q&A.
