Address:
European Parliament,
60 rue Wiertz,
Brussels 1047,
Belgium
Join Counter Balance, the CEE Bankwatch Network and Eurodad at the European Parliament for the launch of the Eurodad-commissioned report 'Shaping the future of EIB Global: Reclaiming public purpose in development finance', written by eminent researcher on public banks, Thomas Marois (SOAS University of London).
Hosted by MEPs Erik Marquardt (Greens/EFA) and Udo Bullmann (S&D), the event will discuss the latest research commissioned by Eurodad, and supported by Counter Balance and CEE Bankwatch Network, on the EIB Global. The report critically analyses the creation of the EIB’s development branch, and puts forward concrete proposals for how to reclaim public purpose in development banking.
Bringing together MEPs from different political groups, development finance experts and civil society organisations, this event seeks to broaden the debate on a crucial issue for the future of the European financial architecture for development, and to inform ongoing discussions on the future of the EIB Global.
Please note: Due to limited capacity, early registration is strongly recommended.
This event will be held under Chatham House Rules
